Carl and James report their findings to Maldonato, Prince Vidal's right-hand. Maldonato invites them to find a safe haven for the day, and then proceed with their investigations: this woman is profanating a cemetary very dear to the Prince, and she must pay for it!
The day after, James takes care of a few personal matters, then together with Carl they ask a few questions around, search for information online, and make use of a contact James has in the local police. All seems to point to a prostitute going by the name of Mary.
They drive back to the cemetery. On their way, they pay a visit to Father John Marrow at his church. There, Father Marrow is not alone: Antoine Savoy, Lord of the French Quarter, introduces himself to them. He seems to know about Mary, and offers to keep her under his protective wing if the two young kindred will find her. He fears that, if she's delivered to the Prince, her fate will be sealed.
